What the test checks
- WebRTC. The browser can find out its own IP for video calls, bypassing the proxy. If that address differs from the one the website sees, the proxy does not hide you.
- DNS. Before opening a website, the browser asks a DNS server for its address. If the DNS server is in a different country than the IP, requests most likely bypass the proxy.
- Time zone and language. The browser time and language should fit the IP country. A mismatch is not a ban by itself, but it adds suspicion.
- Proxy headers. Some proxies add headers like Via to requests, which tells websites that a proxy is in use.
- IP type. Websites check hosting addresses more strictly than home and mobile ones.
The total score shows how consistent the connection looks. A WebRTC leak, DNS from another country and a wrong time zone lower it the most.
